Turmeric has saturated bright yellow, with a hint of orange color. Even a tiny add it in hot water should give a substantial color. Turmeric has weak but quite pleasant, subtle fragrance close to the ginger. Taste is slightly burning in a moderate dosage. In cooking turmeric is added in very small quantities.
