Corn is used in many countries for the production of bread and other bakery products. Freshly harvested cobs are eaten boiled, roasted grain, or used to make corn flakes, popcorn, or corn flour. Industrially produced from corn protein artificial fibers, corn starch is used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, viscose fiber, glue, paper, explosives, for finishing textiles and leather.
